Ecolean Air®
A tear-off opening makes our packages easy to open and pour from. We're proud that all Ecolean packages have been approved by the Swedish Rheumatism Association as easy to use. We believe that everyone should be able to use any package regardless of their age or hand strength.
When viscous products like yoghurt are sold in conventional one-litre packages, nearly a decilitre is thrown away with the package unnecessarily. Our flexible and soft packaging material enables the consumer to easily squeeze every last drop out of the package. Ecolean's lightweight packaging solution means more food using less resources.
An air-filled handle is an important feature in our smart pitcher-like design. This gives the package a rigid back that makes it easy to grasp, pour and hold while drinking with a straw.
Our one-litre package weighs only 16.1 grams, which is on average 50% lighter than a carton or plastic bottle, while ensuring strength and durability. A lighter package means less raw materials and more efficient distribution, which lowers the carbon footprint and optimises the use of resources.
As they contain no aluminium, Ecolean's aseptic packages can be safely heated in the microwave when opened. This offers new opportunities for product categories that allow fast and convenient heating.

External Sell Check analyses show that Ecolean packaging is highly likely to be noticed in the busy retail environment. Ecolean’s unique jug-format stands out on the shelf and the surface has a generous face display for print. This makes it perfect for conveying uniqueness and innovation.
When emptied, Ecolean packages are as flat as an envelope. Low waste volumes save considerable resources in the waste handling process, for example by reducing the need for waste transport.
Lightweight packages
The innovative reclosing feature SnapQuick™ takes reclosure to the next level by being convenient and easy to use. Unlike many other reclosing alternatives, SnapQuick™ is lightweight and part of the package.
The SnapQuick™ reclosing feature is integrated into the package, without compromising functionality. Once the package is opened, it can be easily closed by simply folding and giving the top of the package a light pinch. SnapQuick™ is made from PET and adds less than 0.38 grams to the total package weight, which is substantially less than conventional reclosing devices such as screw caps. Just fold and snap!
SnapQuick™ is available for family-sized Ecolean® Air packages. The SnapQuick™ applicator modules, available for EL1+ filling machines, connect to the filling machine as an integrated part and are applied to the package prior to filling.
